Happiness

A smile shone brightly on her face

Not a dollar in pocket

A ripped up shoelace

In a small house

She lived her day

Does wealth make you happy?

Who’s to say?

He worked in an office

Depressed and alone

His house was real big

He had a nice phone

His wallet was full

But he needed more

A new computer?

He only had four

Whatever he had

It was never enough

He could never be happy

No matter his stuff

You can’t buy happiness

Or a full life

It is a thing that does not have a price
